The Micromax Canvas Selfie A255 smartphone was originally launched back in December and has only now been given an official price of Rs 15999. The device was basically supposed to hit the market sometime in January and obviously, has been delayed by over a month. Well, there’s still no word on when it’ll hit the market, but we’re assuming that will happen in the coming days.
The Micromax Canvas Selfie A255 is a premium device from the company and as its name suggests, the phone’s main highlight is its high-resolution front facing camera for capturing selfies. The sensor used here is from Sony and rated at 13MP. Also, you get an LED flash for taking pictures in dimly-lit conditions.
A 13MP shooter can also be found on the rear, but with dual LED flash. To make the most out of the high quality snappers, Micromax has thrown in various software tweaks so that you can edit images and conveniently post them online. Design-wise, the handset has an odd shape where the top and bottom feature an arc design.

The entire front is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the snapper and the 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS display, while the rear has a leather finish for a premium look. Coming to the innards, the Canvas Selfie A255 has a 1.7GHz octa core processor delivering the steam and is accompanied by 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.
