Micromax Canvas Fire 4 has Lollipop out of the box and Rs 6999 price

If you’re planning to buy an Android One smartphone only for the promise of Lollipop, devices like the Micromax Canvas Fire 4 and a few others have already gone on sale with the new OS preloaded. The latest launch from the Indian OEM looks to offer a stock Android 5.0 experience and it’s loaded with some nice entertainment features for a price of Rs 6999.

The Micromax Canvas Fire 4 smartphone looks like a blend of the iPhone 6 with the HTC One. The rear panel looks pretty similar to what you’d find on the Apple handset, while the front features dual stereo speakers with a grille design that resembles the one on the third device.

What’s more, the company has added quite a nifty feature onto the new handset. The Micromax logo on the rear has an LED built-in and it illuminates to alert you of notifications. The downside here is that you’ll have to keep the phone face-down for the light to be visible. A 4.5-inch FWVGA display with Gorilla Glass 3 and a 2MP camera are also placed on the front.

The main snapper here is rated at 8MP and is accompanied by an LED flash. The usual 1.3GHz quad core processor powers things up on the Canvas Fire 4, while the other hardware components are pretty much standard. You get a 2000mAh battery, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and microSD expansions, but no dual SIM card slots.
