India is welcoming yet another addition to the Zenfone family, the Asus Zenfone C smartphone, which has been officially launched by the company for Rs 5999. The new handset is an entry-level release and it offers a gorgeous design with great features, just like the other options in the lineup.
The Asus Zenfone C is basically a refresher to the Zenfone 4 and it’ll most likely replace the current 4.5-inch model. The phone isn’t much different from the previous handset, but it does offer Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box which means that you won’t have to go through the trouble of downloading and installing the new OS.
Also, it isn’t clear whether the Zenfone 4 will get Lollipop, but considering that the new Asus handset is just a month old, there’s a very high change that it’ll be treated to Android 5.0 in the future. As highlighted above, the smartphone offers a 4.5-inch display with FWVGA visuals. The 1.2GHz dual core Intel Atom processor continues to be one of the device’s main highlights.

And you also get a 5MP rear camera backed by the company’s PixelMaster technology. The Zenfone C packs a front-facing shooter for video calling and taking selfies. The phone is powered by a 2100mAh battery and can accommodate dual SIM cards.
