HTC Desire 826 launched in India for Rs 25990

The HTC Desire 826 which is considered as the new flagship smartphone in the company’s mid-range lineup has made its way into India. And the device has been priced at around Rs 25990, but is yet to go on sale in the country.

The company notes that operators and major retailers will have stock of the device soon. The phone’s arrival was first disclosed by a local retail a couple of days back, who noted that the HTC Desire 826 will sell for Rs 26200 which is higher than what the OEM is asking. The handset is basically a beefed up version of the Desire 820.

It offers a similar design and also almost identical features. The main change in the new HTC phone is that various components have been upgraded. There’s an UltraPixel camera on the front for video calling and taking selfies, while the rear has a 13MP shooter. And for visuals, a 5.5-inch 1080p FHD IPS LCD panel has been employed.

Coming to the innards, the Desire 826 is powered by a 1.5GHz octa core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor. Accompanying it is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 128GB more via a microSD card. Then there are also dual SIM card slots and a 2600mAh battery.
