HTC Desire 820s comes to India with 4G and 64-bit processor for Rs 24490

The HTC Desire 820s smartphone was slated for launch in India over the week and the company has indeed made the device official. The phone will retail for Rs 24890 which is slightly higher than the Rs 24490 price which was disclosed by a local retailer a couple of days back.

The HTC Desire 820s isn’t exactly a new smartphone in India. It’s basically a variant of the Desire 820 and 820q handsets which were launched back in 2014. The difference here is that you get an octa core 64-bit MediaTek processor instead of a Snapdragon chip. Additionally, the new release also bring 4G LTE support with dual SIM card slots, both being compatible with high speed data networks.

Despite there being a 64-bit SOC onboard, the handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat and there’s a high chance that it’ll get updated to Lollipop in the near future. Being a mid-range option at its, the device is also a great pick for entertainment buffs.
