The latest Gionee smartphone called the Elife S5.5 has been introduced in India and considering that it is framed in a form factor measuring merely 5.5 millimeters, it is currently the slimmest handset in the world. But in spite of coming wrapped in a thin exterior, it does not compromise on the features and packs in a set of advanced attributes such as an eight-core processor and 2GB RAM.
Let’s take a look at the specifications of the Gionee Elife S5.5. The very first thing that you will notice about the gadget is its touchscreen which measures 5 inches diagonally. On the front, the Chinese company has also fitted a 5MP camera so you can take selfies and make video calls, while on the flip side you will see a 13MP camera capable of taking high-quality images and videos.
Coming to the internal attributes of the smartphone, it has been loaded with an octa core processor which can clock in a maximum speed of up to 1.7GHz. And the SoC seeks assistance from 2GB of RAM. The device will be introduced in both 3G and LTE versions, but whether the latter is slated to arrive in the country or not is not known. Its total internal storage amounts to 16GB.
And what’s more, the Gionee smartphone makes the most of the Amigo 2.0 OS which is a heavily tweaked version of Jelly Bean 4.2 and the single SIM smartphone is fueled by a 2300mAh battery. Other features of the device include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS to name a few.
The Gionee Elife S5.5 has been priced at Rs 22,999 in India and it will be made available starting from April 27.
