Lava Iris 406Q price in India set at Rs 6,999

The Lava Iris 406Q smartphone has gone official via the company website, but Lava chooses to keep all the details regarding the device close to its chest. It has only revealed on the site that the phone is coming soon. However, an e-retailer has wasted no time in making the gadget available for purchase and interested users are asked to shell out just under Rs 7,000 for it.

The Lava Iris 406Q’s entire front panel is dominated by a 4-inch WVGA Twisted Nematic touchscreen and a 0.3MP webcam takes a little space alongside the display. On the flip side, the company has placed a 5MP camera with LED flash, 4x digital zoom, HD video recording and a number of other features.

This black-colored handset is based on the Android Jelly Bean 4.3 OS and Lava says that it is upgradeable to the KitKat 4.4 platform. And when it comes to multitasking, you can rely on its 1.2GHz quad core processor to provide support to a couple of apps at the same time. The SoC is accompanied by 1GB of RAM.

As for the internal memory, the device is loaded with 4GB hoarding space and it is expandable by up to 32GB if you insert a microSD card in the dedicated slot. And what’s more, the phone is fueled by a 1700mAh lithium-ion battery that should keep it charged for an entire day.
