Second generation Moto G goes on sale in India at Rs 12999

India is certainly an important market for Motorola as its second generation Moto G smartphone went on sale just a couple of days after its international debut at the IFA 2014. Additionally, the company plans to launch its latest Moto X flagship and Moto 360 smartphone as well, later this month.

The second generation Moto G is a decent upgrade over the first release. In short, the phone is more like a refined version of its predecessor as it offers improved specs and a larger design. The screen size has been increased from 4.5 inches to 5 inches, but the resolution remains the same at 1280 x 720p HD.

Design-wise, the company hasn’t changed much. The front now sports dual stereo speakers for high quality audio output to complement the larger screen. The snapper here is a 2MP one, while the rear camera has been improved to an 8MP shooter. Android 4.4.4 KitKat is preloaded and the phone will most certainly get updated shortly after Android L is released.
