Lava Iris 505Q smartphone will set you back by Rs 13,000, available now

The Lava Iris 505Q smartphone has been made available in India for a rather mid-range price of Rs 13,000 and it comes across as an apt smartphone for users who are not too keen on spending a huge amount on a handset. It is only introduced in the black shade and has already hit store shelves in the subcontinent.

The entire front panel of the Lava Iris 505Q is dominated by an IPS OGS screen which offers a multi-touch real estate of 5.5 inches. You can expect HD visuals as the display has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. A 2MP webcam lets you make video calls over the internet, whereas an 8MP rear-facing snapper comes in handy for all other photography needs.

Moreover, the phone should be capable of offering support to multiple applications at the same time as a quad core processor sprinting at a speed of 1.2GHz rests under the hood. Android Jelly Bean 4.2 is the OS of choice for the phone and potential buyers can look forward to FOTA updates as well.

There’s 1GB of RAM in the smartphone and its total onboard storage amounts to merely 4GB. However, an expansion slot has been carved into the chassis for allowing users to expand the storage by up to 32GB. This Lava handset employs a 2600mAh battery offering talk time of up to 10 hours in the 2G mode.
