The Huawei Ascend G600 Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone has been launched by the Chinese company, and even as it is selling through some E-retailers currently, its price in India has been set by all of them at Rs. 14,990. Said to have been designed for young professionals on the lookout for power and functionality not possessed by entry-level devices, this new hardware was first released in other regions of the world in the latter part of last year.
Flipkart is currently offering the Ascend G600 at a cost of Rs. 14,990, and is also bundling the package with a free 16GB memory card from Transcend. Infibeam too has the handset listed at the same cost, but is looking to incite buyers by offering an Atitude music dock cum stand worth Rs. 1,399 free with it. No such deals are available with Snapdeal which also has marked it at Rs 14,990 on its website. The phone’s maker has confirmed that retail outlets such as LFR, Reliance Digital, Croma and Huawei Experience will be offering the device as well.
This new Huawei smartphone comes equipped with Google’s Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and carries on-board a dual core processor from Qualcomm which has been clocked at 1.2GHz. Its display has its size set at 4.5 inches and comes with the qHD IPS technology in tow, enabling it to proffer a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. Corning Gorilla Glass coating also makes its way onto it.
