The unlocked BlackBerry Z10 release date for the UK was said to be sometime in early March and now the official Clove blog has informed its customers that it will start shipping the black-colored device starting from the from the first day of the coming month, which is currently up for pre-order for a price of £534 (approx. Rs. 45,005). Expansys is currently accepting pre-orders for it in the country as well, while Amazon seems to already have it in stock.
The Z10 based on the latest 10 OS is already available through various carriers like O2, Vodafone, EE, T-Mobile, Orange and more. The phone that was unveiled along with the platform and the Q10 smartphone at the end of last month, plans to toddle into the US in March too. Also, it can be picked up by the residents of Canada and the company is holding an event in Mumbai, India on February 25, most probably to introduce the handset in the country.
As for the specifications of the phone, it is outfitted with a 4.2-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a pixel density of 355ppi and the ability to render visuals in 1280 x 768p resolution. A dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor rests under the hood and ticks at a speed of 1.5GHz to multitask efficiently by launching multiple applications at the same time. And as there’s 2GB of RAM to accompany the chipset, it should be able to ensure smooth navigation as well.
It is loaded with 16GB internal storage for hoarding digital stuff and an expansion slot to increase it further by as much as 64GB with a little assistance from a microSD card. Featuring Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the handset is equipped with a front-facing 2MP camera and an 8MP primary snapper complete with LED flash, auto focus, a BSI sensor and more. Its 1800mAh lithium-ion battery can be expected to cough up the juice for talk time of close to 10 hours in the 3G mode.
The white unlocked BlackBerry Z10 will be released at a later date through Clove.
