Unlocked BlackBerry Z10 price in the UK revealed, release date expected to be in March

The unlocked BlackBerry Z10 release date for the UK may not have been announced officially as yet, but certain retailers in the country have already put the phone up for pre-order for a price of £534. According to the official Clove blog, the smartphone’s SIM-free version should arrive in the country early next month.

The Z10 has already hit availability status in the UK via carriers like EE, Three, O2 and Vodafone amongst others. But those who do not want to be bound by a contract, will have to wait for another month before they could lay their hands on the newest kid on the block. It is slated to arrive in the US through carriers like Verizon Wireless and AT&T in March as well. Also, another 10 OS-based handset, the QWERTY keyboard-equipped Q10 has been launched, but its availability information is under wraps for now.

Splashed in hues of black and white, the device in question rocks the latest BB 10 OS and acquires multitasking properties from a dual core processor ticking at 1.5GHz. In order to allow prospective users to work on more than one application at the same time, the phone tags along 2GB of RAM. And as it is loaded with 16GB of onboard memory, hoarding digital content such as music, videos, official documents, images and more should not be a problem. Besides this, an expansion slot compatible with microSD cards has been embedded too.

A capacitive multi-touch display of 4.2 inches lays claim over the front side and works towards reproducing HD images in 1280 x 768p resolution. Its pixel density stands at 356ppi. The handset has been fitted with an 8MP primary camera featuring video stabilization, 1080p video recorder, auto focus, LED flash, a BSI sensor and more. The NFC-certified phone can cough up the juice for talk time of close to 10 hours in the 3G mode.

The unlocked BlackBerry Z10 is up for pre-order through Clove for £534 (approx. Rs. 44,935) including taxes and for £479.95 (approx. Rs. 40,400) through Carphone Warehouse. It is also available for pre-sale through Expansys, but its cost has not been mentioned by this e-retailer.
