3G Idea Zeal price storms out, dual SIM phone runs Android

With a price of Rs. 5,390, the Zeal has been added to Idea’s portfolio of 3G devices which already boasts of members like the Ivory, Aurus, ID 918, Blade and more. Besides an offer on 3G data usage for the first three months, prospective users can also make the most of the TV service free of charge.

The device makes its debut in the budget-friendly smartphone segment, but doesn’t seem to compromise on essential features. As it can extend support to a couple of SIM cards at the same time, customers can rely up on the handset to keep their personal and professional lives separate. The device aimed at the youth and professionals who wish to stay productive as well as entertained on the move, gorges on the Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 platform, but it is not likely to receive an over-the-air upgrade any time soon.

Moreover, the internal working of the phone is carried out under the supervision of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which ticks at 1GHz. It ships with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM expandable up to 32GB with a little assistance from a microSD card. A 4GB memory card is bundled along with the device.
