The Samsung Galaxy S3 is soon to be available in shades of amber brown, garnet red, sapphire black and titanium grey apart from the previous pebble blue and marble white color options. As per the company, these hues are inspired by the planet’s ‘richest materials’ to signify the relationship between man and nature.
The amber brown shade is said to have drawn inspiration from a mysterious gemstone, while the garnet red hue comes from the Almandite Garnet jewel used as an amulet in Egypt. Talking about the sapphire black color, it is motivated by dark stones used for protection in countries like India and Persia. A post on Samsung Tomorrow also describes the characteristics behind the titanium grey tint. It apparently symbolizes traits like intellect, insight and inquisitiveness.
“Every inch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been created to reflect the natural elements that inspired its ergonomic design, from the softly shaped curvature to the minimized bezel. By expanding the color range of the Galaxy S3 we are continuing to evolve the Minimal Organic design theme of the handset. The color options we have added evoke the phone’s emotional and natural aspects in a very simple but effective way,†exclaimed Minhyouk Lee, VP and lead designer of Galaxy S3, Samsung.
Apart from introducing the smartphone in the above mentioned hues, the company has given the device’s back panel a ‘pure and clear’ Hyperglaze coating. With the help of this layer, a dual color effect is created that contributes to the visual appearance of the design. Needless to say, the South Korean conglomerate could be launching even more shades in the coming months.
Currently, company hasn’t provided any concrete information as to when these new Samsung Galaxy S3 shades will be available on a global scale.
