The LG Optimus L5 will be hitting the markets in Europe this very month. It will initially be available in the UK, France and Germany, followed by the rest of the said region, Middle East, Asia as well as Central and South America. Some of the features pushed into the smartphone will change according to territory.

The 9.5mm slim device binges on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and it gains steam from a Cortex A5 800MHz chip. The façade is dominated by a 4-inch display, while the back panel bears a 5MP snapper that offers LED flash, AF, touch focus and geo-tagging. The 4GB integrated memory can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of the embedded slot that supports microSD cards.

“The LG Optimus L5 is a very balanced smartphone that offers a great combination of design, display, performance, battery life and price that many will find very attractive,” commented Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics. “This device, along with other products in our L-Series portfolio, will especially appeal to fashion forward users everywhere.”

The QuickMemo app allows users to pen down notes without having to exit from an application being accessed. Under the roof, a 1500mAh battery can be found powering the phone. The device may be picked up throughout Asia, CIS, Central and South America and Middle East with dual SIM capabilities, when it is launched. However, the NFC ‘Tag & Play’ feature will only be available in pieces shipped across Europe and North America.

The LG Optimus L5 price and released date information can obviously be expected to vary according to region.
