Acer Aspire S5 and S3 Ultrabooks embed 3rd generation Intel processors

The Acer Aspire S5 and the refreshed S3 Ultrabooks will be hitting US store shelves with 3rd generation Intel processors. Being crafted to show off a brushed, onyx black magnesium-aluminum alloy metal frame, the former apparently claims to be the thinnest ever Ultrabook with a 0.44-inch slim and 2.65-pound heavy build.

The S5’s Magic Flip I/O Port controlled by a dedicated button, conceals in-built terminals for USB 3.0, Thunderbolt and HDMI. Additionally, the device is also equipped with an HDMI to VGA cable adapter and it can be hooked up to three screens. This Ultrabook is powered by the 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor and it is integrated with a 256GB SSD. Bundled in with a PowerSmart battery that is said to maintain 80% capacity subsequent to the 1,000 cycle count, the gadget offers an approximate of 15 days standby time and 6.5 hours usage power.

The notebook is deployed with a 13.3” LED-backlit widescreen, while the chassis bears a 1.3MP HD webcam that captures and records content at 24 frames per second. The S3 version compatible with both Intel Core i7 and i3 processors, offers 256GB internal memory capacity. A fresh champagne hue makes its debut on the 2.98-pound heavy device. Features such as Acer Green Instant On technology, AcerCloud, PicStream and clear.fi Media are also thrown into the mix.

The Acer Aspire S5 price is marked at $1,399.99 (approx. Rs. 77,545) and it will be available for purchase by the end of June. The Aspire S3 price starts at $648 (approx. Rs. 35,895). The Ultrabook will up for grabs throughout the US by this week.
