A certain Korean manufacturer has lined up yet another smartphone for Europe after the Optimus L7; the LG Optimus 4X HD quad core that will hit store shelves this June. Featuring a quad core processor, the device dons a True HD IPS display like most of its other siblings.

Powered by 4-Plus-1 Nvidia Tegra 3, it boasts of a longer run time, courtesy the fifth core of its processor. While currently the phone switches to the fifth core in the standby mode to conserve battery, a future upgrade to the smartphone should empower users to turn down any of the cores to save up on power usage. Add to it, the 2,150mAh battery with SiO+ technology and the handset is good to go for a pretty long time.

“Beyond the fast processor, superb display and largest-in-class battery, the Optimus 4X HD is the first LG smartphone to feature the new User Experience (UX). As the smartphone segment consolidates even further, it’s becoming more and more apparent that both great software and great hardware are crucial to stay on top of the game. LG intends to be a strong contender in both areas and the Optimus 4X HD is our proof,” stated Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

The Ice Cream Sandwich based LG Optimus 4X HD’s UX interface is inclusive of Quick Memo, which can instantly be launched into any application, game or video player to jot down notes or memos on the image and share it with others. Users can also open websites directly from URLs in these memos.
