iPhone 5 on sale through Kogan

Apple Handset

The iPhone 5 price and release date details have been revealed by Kogan and it’s apparently the first retailer in the world to sell the sixth generation handset. It is offering the device as an unlocked version and for AU$100 (approx. Rs. 5,790) less than Apple’s deal.

Just as expected, the new iDevice has arrived with a host of changes such as a 4-inch display, iOS 6 and a new FaceTime HD camera. An A6 processor is allocated in its interior and it takes care of all the operations. Moreover, it’s cited to be the lightest and thinnest of all the handsets released so far. It is compatible with 4G networks, though the unavailability of NFC support may come as a disappointment to fans.

“Just hours ago Apple unveiled their hotly anticipated new smartphone, the iPhone 5, at an event in San Francisco. We’ve been working very hard here at Kogan to be the first retailer in the world to sell it, and can confirm that they are now available for our customers to order at unbelievable prices,” states a post on the official Kogan blog.

As for the retailer, the device is up for order on its official website and it is backed by a 1-year warranty. It is shipping in color choices of black and white, and orders should be delivered by September 21.

As we mentioned above, Kogan has already disclosed the iPhone 5 price and release date details. The 16GB, 32GB and 64GB unlocked variants are marked at $699 (approx. Rs. 40,480), $799 (approx. Rs. 46,270), and $899 (approx. Rs. 52,045), correspondingly.
