The Acer CloudMobile is yet another contender which is gearing up for its unveiling at the MWC 2012 in Spain. It is apparently the first smartphone from the company to have been deployed with the AcerCloud technology.

This exclusive technology utilized in the Acer phone establishes a secured connection between Cloud PCs and the CloudMobile, wirelessly. This helps users to access their pictures, music collection as well as other digital content from their computer systems on the move. Besides facilitating quick browsing of recently viewed files, it supports Acer Print for allowing wireless printing of these documents. AcerCloud is also said to improve mobile productivity as it simplifies document management.

The sleek device comes enclosed in a soft and curvaceous chassis with thickness of less than a centimeter. Its Sleeve DNA design should ensure a better grip on the phone. The front panel features a stainless steel receiver, while the back side is graced by Dolby speaker plate. Detailing like perforations, tactile elements on the rear panel and the volume button, further add to its stylish factor.

Accompanying the smartphone’s narrow bezel is a 4.3-inch laminated high definition multi-touch display. The company has refrained from mentioning the attributes which are responsible for the internal working of the CloudMobile. But Pocket-Lint has received information that this handset will binge on the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

The winner of the iF design award 2012, the Acer CLoudMobile is slated to be made available in the third quarter of this year. It will be exhibited at the MWC.
