HTC One SV 4G LTE phone comes to UK, may be headed to EE

HTC One SV

The HTC One SV is most probably headed to EE in the UK, as it is the only service provider in the country that offers the 4G LTE network speed. The mid-range device’s availability details have not been mentioned, but it is slated to arrive in the coming weeks.

Based on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, it has been deployed with HTC Sense 4 for an intuitive and user-friendly interface. The One handset weighing 122 grams, measures 128 x 66.9 x 9.20 millimeters and employs a 4.3-inch screen that takes over the front panel. This Super LCD 2 multi-touch display of 480 x 800p resolution, is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for resistance against scrapes and scratches.

Beats Audio

A dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that clocks in a speed of 1.2GHz has been integrated in order to let users multitask on the move. It is accompanied by 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The HTC handset provides 8GB of internal memory and is embedded with a microSD expansion slot for a memory card of up to 32GB capacity. It is compliant with mobile networks such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, HSPA, WCDMA and LTE.

The GPS-enabled smartphone comes with communication options like Bluetooth 4.0, Android Beam, NFC with Google Wallet compatibility and Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n. It features a G-sensor, a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor and an e-compass and tags along Beats Audio technology for an improved acoustic experience.

Front

Drenched in shades of pyrenees blue and glacier white, the One SV with a polycarbonate chassis is armed with a 1.6MP webcam. A 5MP rear-facing auto focus camera with LED flash, a BSI sensor, a 28mm lens and the ability to click images while shooting 1080p videos, has also been added to the mix. It draws power from a removable 1800mAh lithium-ion battery.

The HTC One SV 4G LTE phone’s price and availability details have not been given a mention.

Update: The smartphone’s price has been revealed by the online retailer Clove for the UK and it amounts to £349.99 (approx. Rs. 30,695) including taxes. It will start shipping in January, next year.
