Motorola Droid Razr Maxx, purple Droid Razr unveiled via Verizon

Motorola Droid Razr Maxx

Verizon Wireless seems to be on a roll at this year’s CES as along with the Droid 4 and LG Spectrum, the carrier has also announced the Motorola Droid Maxx and the purple variant of the Motorola Droid Razr. Although the pricing details have been revealed, their exact release dates have been kept under wraps.

Meant for users who multitask on their smartphones, the 4G LTE-enabled Droid Razr Maxx is said to be a marathon runner. That’s because the device is believed to be capable of offering an extremely long battery life with talk time of about 21 hours on a single charge. Apparently inspired by its predecessor, it dons a slim chassis that measures close to 8.99mm. The offering lets users store a large amount of digital data in its 32GB storage memory. The Android Gingerbread-based phone will be upgradeable to the Android 4.0 platform.

The fairly recent Droid Razr will make its debut in the vibrant purple shade in the next few weeks. The handset was already available in classic black and pristine white hues. The durable and extremely slim purple phone packs in features similar to the previously released Droid Razr. And like the previously mentioned Razr Maxx, this Gingerbread device will also binge on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform via an upgrade.

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx price tag reads $299.99 (approx. Rs. 15,510) and the purple-colored Motorola Droid Razr is priced at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,340). Both require two year customer agreements, Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plans starting from $39.99 and smartphone data packages.
