HTC One X+ and 8X launch within view

HTC Windows Phone Device

If rumors doing the rounds are to be believed, we may see the all new HTC One X+ and the 8X this season. Going consistent with reports about a Windows Phone 8 handset being developed by the Taiwanese manufacturer, the 8X could just be the one.

As for the One X+, it could be a reformed version of the One X and it is likely to be Android-powered. And HTC sure seems to know that serving Jelly Bean will do the trick as the device is expected to run Android 4.1 at launch. Moreover, it will be laced with the HTC Sense 4.5 skin, rather than the regular Sense 4 that should make web surfing quite fluid.

Some other specifications of the handsets in question have also been leaked. To start with, the HTC One X+ may house an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core SoC with 1.6GHz clock speeds. As an added flexibility, the chipset can be made to tick at 1.7GHz whenever a single core is used. In terms of the display, word has it that we may see a whopping 5-inch HD screen. For hoarding needs, the decked up One X might carry 32GB of internal memory and 1GB RAM.

Coming to the 8X, the smartphone sticks to the latest Windows Phone 8 specifications and it will apparently house a 1.2GHz dual core processor, possibly a Qualcomm Krait. The screen is expected to span 4.3 inches, while there should be 16GB at prospective users’ disposal for storage requirements along with 1GB RAM.

As it has been a rule always, Beats Audio is expected to stay in place. An 8MP snapper with a wide angle 28mm lens and a f/2.0 aperture may be part of the show as well. BGR India which dug up the news via a Twitter user Football4PDA, has reported that the company may launch these devices possibly at the looming September 19 event.

Though a number of features have surfaced, an official word on the HTC One X+ and 8X price and release date details is the need of the moment.
