The HTC One X and One S Android based smartphones, which made their debut at the MWC held last month, have arrived in the UK through Vodafone. Both devices running the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, can now be pre-ordered via the carrier.
Fueled by a quad core processor that clocks in a speed of 1.5GHz, the X variant flaunts a 4.65-inch S-LCD multi-touch display of 1280 x 720p resolution. It comes armed with an 8MP camera possessing attributes like 4x zoom, LED flash, auto focus and 1080p video recording capabilities amongst others. In addition to this, the phone features a front facing 1.3MP imager to facilitate video conferencing over the internet.
The One S acquires multitasking properties from a 1.5GHz dual core processor and claims to offer talk time of about 8.8 hours in the 2G mode. The smartphone is fitted with an AMOLED touchscreen spanning 4.3 inches and renders visuals in 540 x 960p resolutions. Similar to its aforementioned sibling, it is also equipped with an 8MP camera that boasts of features like auto focus, 4x zoom, LED flash and more. The front panel of this device is graced by a VGA webcam. Mobileburn mentions that these multimedia-ready handsets will be made available with monthly contract commitments.
The HTC One X and One S price and availability details have been disclosed already. Available with plans starting at £26, the former carries a price tag of £299 (approx. Rs. 24,310), while the latter can be picked up for £199 (approx. Rs. 16,180). Additionally, Vodafone UK will be shipping the urBeats headphones along with these devices to potential users who place the first 10,000 pre-orders.
