HTC released its new Rhyme smartphone which comes with a suite of integrated accessories, yesterday. Embedded with a 3.7-inch WVGA, LCD display, the handset lets users download movies and TV shows for instant viewing.
The latest HTC device equips a 5MP camera with auto focus, power LED flash and instant shutter. Dressed in vivid shades of striking purple, its camera also possesses face detection and action burst scene features that automatically capture five consecutive shots of a scene as well as the panoramic mode by which users can stitch several pictures for larger-than-life views.
Scott Croyle, vice president of design, HTC Corporation explained, “HTC Rhyme represents an entirely new approach, based on recognition that there is a substantial group of consumers who want their phones to be more personal and complimentary to every moment of their day. HTC Rhyme is focused on delivering this through a fresh new style and experience that includes a family of innovative accessories like the HTC Rhyme Charm and Docking Station that are meant to naturally integrate into people’s lives.â€
Featuring a sleek unibody design, this smartphone comes in three colors namely, clearwater, hourglass and plum. Users can customize the Rhyme’s locked homescreen to display the most important content and thus make the processes of viewing social updates, weather forecasts, photos or taking pictures, easier and quicker. The mobile phone is accompanied by a set of stylish accessories which include the HTC Rhyme Bluetooth car speaker, headset, headphones, sports armband, docking station and Charm.
The HTC Rhyme will start retailing through Verizon stores from September 29 for a price of $199 (approx. Rs. 9,644). It is set to be available in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific starting next month.
