After launching the Apple iPhone 4S in major markets across the globe, the fruity giant has introduced the latest generation smartphone in 20 additional countries including Brazil, UAE, South Africa and Russia. The device was launched in India as well as 15 other countries last month.

According to MacRumors, the iPhone 4S has arrived in countries like Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Bahrain, Israel, the Philippines, Turkey, Kuwait, Morocco, Qatar, Jordan, Chile, Peru, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Tunisia and Egypt, besides the above mentioned ones. Owing to the taxes and import duties incurred on devices in Brazil, users in this particular country will have to shell out a huge amount to lay hands on this Apple phone.

Reportedly, the iPhone 4S is available through the Apple online store in Brazil and the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants are priced at $1,410 (approx. Rs. 74,700), $1,628 (approx. Rs. 42,350) and $900 (approx. Rs. 47,650) for 16GB and 32GB and 64GB, correspondingly. The 4S smartphone is the first to employ the Siri software that makes it capable of understanding natural conversations. Featuring a 3.5-inch Retina display, it employs a powerful 8MP camera and runs the iOS 5 platform.
