Nokia C2-05 and X2-05 to come feature packed with a budget friendly price tag

Besides its dedication to develop smartphones based on the Windows Phone 7 platform, Nokia has introduced two new cost effective mobile phones that wrap in a number of features. Being the latest additions to the C2 and X2 models, both handsets are equipped with the Nokia Browser and have access to an in-built Store for purchasing and downloading applications.

Hosting a slider form factor, the Nokia C2-05 comes with dedicated apps for direct access to Facebook and Twitter. Also, additional social networking applications can be downloaded through the Store. Besides these, users based in China will have access to the social network QQ app. Measuring at 99.43mm x 47.77mm x 16.28mm the mobile phone is bundled with a 2-inch QVGA LCD screen and a display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Users can listen to music through the media player or FM radio and enjoy battery life of up to 4 hours. For connectivity, the handset is Bluetooth-enabled and supports 32GB of expandable memory via the microSD slot.

Unlike the C2-05, the Nokia X2-05 is built around a candy bar design. With its main purpose being towards entertainment, the mobile phone is fitted with a 2.2-inch QVGA display at resolutions of 320 x 240, microSD slot supporting 32GB of memory, a rear-facing VGA camera and a loud speaker that operates at 106phons. What’s more, the handset measures at dimensions of 113mm x 50mm x 15mm and is capable of providing around 4hours on talktime.

The Nokia C2-05 is priced at €50 (approx. Rs. 3,370) and comes in a variety of colors such as pink, peacock blue and dynamic grey. With options of black, silver, white and bright red, the Nokia X2-05 is priced at 46€ (approx. Rs. 3,099). Both handsets are expected to be available sometime during the fourth quarter of 2011.
