MSI GX60 gaming laptop gets Radeon HD 7970M graphics and an A10 CPU

For the MSI GX60, the company has partnered with AMD to introduce a new gaming notebook based on the HD 7000M series of mobile graphics. This laptop brings in a Radeon HD 7970M GPU and an A10 quad core CPU at an affordable price.

The GPU comes with the GCN architecture that delivers DirectX 11 gaming and enhanced computing. In addition to this, the device runs on the Windows 7 Home Premium platform powered by an AMD A10 4600M quad core CPU. Its 15.6-inch non-glare full HD LED screen renders visuals with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while gamers can make use of the Eyefinity technology for hooking up the laptop to a maximum of 3 displays via the built-in VGA, HDMI and mDP ports.

In terms of memory, the device comes with various storage options including a 128GB Super RAID and a 750GB SATA HDD, while connectivity highlights comprise of Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Users will have a SteelSeries keyboard for quick input in addition to a set of 2.1ch speakers and Audio Boost as well THT TruStudio Pro virtual surround sound for enhanced audio.

The MSI GX60 price and release date details are yet to be disclosed.
