Eurocom Scorpius laptop gets dual GPU support, up to 8GB graphics memory

The Eurocom Scorpius laptop targets gamers with support for dual Nvidia GeForce and AMD Radeon GPUs. And to enrich the experience altogether, the manufacturer has thrown in THX TruStudio Pro audio that aims at enhancing the sound quality for games, movies and music.

As per the specifications list, the laptop runs on the Windows 7 platform powered by the Intel core i7-3920XM CPU. Measuring 419mm x286mm x 24mm to 49.7mm in dimensions, it weighs around 3.5kg. The device is packed with a 17.3-inch FHD display that’s given a glossy or a matte finish. As mentioned above, users can configure the laptop with either two 4GB GeForce GTX 680M GPUs that tick at 720MHz or two 850MHz Radeon HD 7970M units which support up to 4GB of GDDR5 memory. Apart from this, there are options from the Quadro lineup as well, based on the Kepler architecture.

Furthermore, the notebook can be equipped with 2 HDDs and an SDD, while a 9-in-1 card reader and a host of ports come embedded. Audio features include 2 Onkyo speakers and a subwoofer clubbed with the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB2 software suite.
