The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date for the UK has been confirmed to fall on October 1 which is just a few days from now. On the downside, the price details have not been given a mention as yet.

The device in questions binges on the Jelly Bean platform powered by a quad core processor with clock speeds of up to 1.6GHz. It will feature an upgraded Google Now service in addition to HSPA+ for quick web browsing. As most are aware, this smartphone-cum-tablet drags along an enhanced S Pen with a couple of other features like Air View, S Note and S Planner for jotting down notes and editing content on the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display.

Simon Stanford, Vice President, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division, Samsung UK and Ireland, remarked, “The introduction of the original Galaxy Note was a great success – we succeeded in creating an entirely new category and went on to sell more than ten million devices globally. With the Galaxy Note II, we’re not only expanding the category, we’re also evolving the technology to the point where it genuinely feels as though you’re using a traditional pen and paper.”

The phone has an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.9MP front-facing snapper for capturing images and recording videos. It is also loaded with highlights like Buddy Photo Share, Burst Shot, Best Photo and Best Faces for various photography needs. There is even the AllShare Play tool for users to conveniently share content with friends and family directly from the device.

As mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 price in the UK is still under wraps. Its release date has been slated for October and it will be available via the company’s Brand Store at Stratford City, Westfield and major networks across the country.
