The Toshiba Satellite P800 series is on the way to the US, but members of this lineup will not be the only ones making their debut during the holiday season as the company has also spelled out the price details for the Satellite L800 and C800 series. That’s not all; these Windows 8 devices have also hit pre-order status on Toshiba’s online store as well as through major e-retailers.
First we have the Satellite P800 series that will hit stores in 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch variants. The latter two displays will feature the TruBrite technology, while all three will render visuals in HD. Running on the Windows 8 platform and backed by 3rd generation Intel Core processors, the Toshiba device packs in 8GB of DDR3 RAM for smooth operations. For those who are fond of gaming, it offers an Nvidia GeForce GT 630M GPU and 2GB of video memory. Plus, users will have an LED-backlit keyboard making it easier to locate keys in the dark.
Moving on to the Satellite L800 series, it draws steam from either 3rd generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processors or AMD A-Series APUs. With up to 640GB of built-in storage and 4GB of RAM, it offers Wi-Fi for web browsing and downloading content. The covering of the chassis is layered with the company’s Fusion finish in mercury silver that adds to its stylish appearance. Last in line is the Satellite C800 series that’s said to be a good partner for internet surfing and social networking. This series too comes with the same Fusion finish or a Trax textured coating. Other features to look out for are 8GB of RAM and 750GB of storage.
The Toshiba Satellite P800 series will be available at a starting price of $929.99 (approx. Rs. 49,320) for the 14-inch variant with a diagonal HD touchscreen, $799.99 (approx. Rs. 42,420) for the 15.6-inch version and $929.99 (approx. Rs. 49,320) for the 17.3-inch one.
The 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch L800 series will hit stores at $629.99 (approx. Rs. 33,400) and $579.99 (approx. Rs. 30,757), respectively. Lastly, the 15.6-inch Satellite C855 will begin at $379.99 (approx. Rs. 20,151), while the 17.3-inch Satellite C875 will go up for sale at $499.99 (approx. Rs. 26,515). The release date for all aforementioned devices have been scheduled for October 26.
