Asus VivoBook X202

Amongst other Window 8 devices’ availability details that have shown up lately, we also have the Asus VivoBook X202 release date and price surfacing. This notebook PC brings in an 11.6-inch multi-touch display as one of its main highlights.

Well, this is not the first laptop to offer a touch panel; we have seen the feature before on the fresh Razer Blade. Coming back to the HD LED backlit screen, it renders visuals in a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Moreover, it supports multiple gestures like double tap to view documents, pinch to zoom and swipe to browse. If users don’t prefer typing directly on the display, there’s always the keyboard for quick input.

Cast in a sleek metallic frame, the notebook weighs not more than 2.9 pounds. Backed by a 3rd generation Core processor, it offers an Intel GMA HD GPU, a 500GB HDD and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Like the Taichi 21, this Asus product comes with the company’s SonicMaster technology for better sound quality. The manufacturer has even included a Super Hybrid Engine II that’s said to awake the device from the sleep mode in 2 seconds, create automatic data backups, recover files and extend the battery life up to 20 percent. Last on the specifications sheet is a 2-cell battery that offers a run time of up to 5 hours on a single charge.
