Acer Aspire M5 Ultrabook

The Acer Aspire M5 Ultrabook price in the US and its release date details have finally wended their way out after the series made its debut in the UK sometime during May. The notebook will hit stores in two configurations, namely in a M5-481PT 14-inch variant and a M5-581T 15.6-inch version.

Cast in a sleek silver chassis crafted out of an aluminum alloy, the former weighs not more than 4.6 pounds. The latter on the other hand, comes in a dark grey magnesium alloy sheath and tips the scales at approximately 5 pounds. What’s more, the first notebook flaunts a 14-inch 10-point touchscreen, while the second one is fitted with a 15.6-inch non-touch screen. Each device offers a 3rd generation Intel Core i5 processor in addition to a 500GB HDD and a 20GB SSD.

The company has equipped the notebooks with a backlit keyboard that allows users to identify keys and type even in the dark. Like we reported earlier, the laptops come loaded with the company’s Green Instant On and Always Connect just like the Aspire S5 and Aspire S3. Lastly, both Ultrabooks can deliver up to 8 hours of run time on a complete charge through the PowerSmart battery pack.
