Dell Alienware M14x

Now that the third generation Intel processors have been announced, we are bound to witness the arrival of a number of computer systems powered by these CPUs and the latest to jump onto the bandwagon are the Dell Alienware M14x, M17x and M18x gaming laptops. While the revamped 14-inch notebook is meant for mobile users, the 18-inch portable computer should attract performance-oriented players. The 17-inch 3D enabled laptop is said to render an immersive high definition performance.

The M14x is powered by the second or third generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with Turbo Boost in addition to the Nvidia GeForce GT 650M that tags along the Nvidia Optimus technology. The 14-inch WLED HD display of 1366 x 768p resolutions can be optioned with the 14-inch 1600 x 900p WLED HD+ display, while it can be integrated with up to 16GB DDR3 memory and a 750GB HDD or 512GB SSD. The Windows based notebook features a 1.3MP HD camera, digital microphone and slot-loading DVD drive or Blu-ray Disc reader amongst others.

Dell Alienware M17x

The Alienware M17x is capable of running on the third generation Intel Core processor with Turbo Boost and up to 32GB DDR3 memory and it employs the Nvidia GeForce or AMD Radeon GPUs. Users can customize the laptop with a 17.3-inch 120Hz WideFHD WLED LCD featuring a 3D bundle and rendering visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolutions. Boasting of support for up to 1TB storage capacity, this notebook that’s available with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium is fitted with a 2.1MP camera.

And the most powerful 18-inch gaming laptop according to the company, the M18x, extends support to the third generation Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost that can clock in a maximum speed of 3.8GHz. The 18.4-inch laptop can be incorporated with a dual 2GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M, a 750GB HDD and 32GB DDR3 memory amongst others. It employs a 2.1MP camera too.

Additionally, all the Alienware devices have been deployed with Creative Sound Blaster Recon3Di High-Definition 5.1 audio and THX TruStudio Pro software and users can go for the surround sound speaker system powered by Klipsch. The input and output options are inclusive of USB, HDMI, audio jack, card reader, VGA port and more. Their Bluetooth 4.0 technology offers a medium for wireless communication, while the AlienAdrenaline makes for an even more customized experience.

The Dell Alienware M14x, M17x and M18x price and availability details suggest that they can now be purchased for starting tags of $1,099 (approx. Rs. 57,855), $1,499 (approx. Rs. 78,915) and $1,999 (approx. Rs. 1,05,240), respectively through Dell.com and Alienware.com.
