Big surprises come in small packages and so does the Dell Alienware X51 gaming desktop. According to the official Dell blog, the X51 is the smallest PC from the company but allows users to indulge in hardcore gaming, assists with school and work related tasks as well as connects to the home theater system to create an entertainment hub.

The compact device is fueled by the second generation Intel Core i3 dual core processor which can be optioned with i5 or i7 processors along with up to 8GB DDR3 RAM. Equipped with Intel H61 Express chipset and mini-ITX motherboard, it can be configured with either 1GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GT 545 or 1GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 555 graphics cards. The PC is also capable of supporting hard drive of capacity up to 1TB and operates with the help of the Windows 7 Home Premium.

The Dell Alienware X51 dual-orientation tower system with sleek matte black finish, measures 13.3 x 3.7 x 12.5 inches and tips the scale at about 5.5kg. It is integrated with the dual layer DVD burner and users have an option to customize their PCs with Blu-ray Disc reader. Available with 240 watts or 330 watts power supply, the Wi-Fi enabled system is inclusive of Gigabit Ethernet NIC, six USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, headphone jack, HDMI connector, microphone input and SPDIF digital output.

Featuring customizable lighting zones, it can be positioned in both horizontal as well as vertical positions. The upgradable system offers access to Alienware applications through the Alienware Command Center, while the AlienAdrenaline allows creating unique profiles to enhance performance and close unnecessary programs when activated. Additionally, the Waves Maxx Audio software and the high definition 7.1 performance sound add to the gaming experience.
