By including the slim Asus Zenbook U500VZ Ultrabook to its lineup, the company claims to offer high-performance in a stylish form factor. Crafted from a sleek aluminum chassis that’s layered with a spun hairline finish, the notebook measures around 19.7mm at its bulkiest point.

Diving directly into its specifications, this device belongs to the company’s 15-inch category with a full HD display for viewing purposes. This panel is equipped with the IPS technology that’s said to provide vibrant colors in addition to enhancing the clarity of visuals. This enables users to view content from any desired angle. The company has even layered the screen with an anti-glare coating to reduce reflection.

The notebook tags along a 3rd generation Intel Core i7 quad core processor paired up with optional Nvidia GT650M graphics and dual SSDs in capacities of 512GB or a 500GB HDD – 128GB SSD combination. The full-sized keyboard sports a separate section for numeric keys along with backlight illumination which is automatically adjusted depending on the ambient lighting in order to make it easy for users to type even in the dark.

Another prominent highlight of the device is the Super Hybird Engine II technology which aims at delivering roughly 25% extra battery life. Along with the above mentioned notebook, the manufacturer has also revealed the beefed up versions of the Zenbook Prime UX21A Touch Ultrabook, the Taichi Ultrabook and the Transformer Book at this year’s IFA in Berlin.

The company is yet to disclose the Asus Zenbook U500VZ price and release date details.
