Acer has introduced its latest line-up of notebooks that integrates the first Aspire Gemstone blue design. Called Aspire 6920, the laptop offers a high-quality high-definition experience while on the road with its elements of the original Gemstone series that includes design, texture and Dolby audio enhancements.
Powered by Intel Centrino Processor Technology, the Aspire Gemstone blue is equipped with Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors, the mobile Intel PM965 Express Chipset and built-in module for wireless connection that is compatible with Acer SignalUp with InviLink Nplify wireless technologies. It also comes with Dolby Home Theater technology with powerful audio technologies like CineSurround, Tuba CineBass booster, Acer Tuba CineBass subwoofer and True5.1 output.

Furthermore, the stylish portable device sports Wide Color Gamut displays with more intense shades and tones with 33% more color range intensity than the typical notebook panels. It also carries new surfaces including the intricate texture of the NeoWeave palm rest, multi-layered, shimmering 3D finish a chic blue, black and silver color scheme; and interior/exterior lighting effects.
It also incorporates CineDash media console, a touch-sensitive interface for managing entertainment and launch Acer Arcade in seconds along with navigate menus, adjust volume and control media. The new series also supports a TV Tuner for digital television, Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate or Windows Vista Home Premium besides other softwares.
Backed with a 1-year warranty, the Acer Aspire 6920 Gemstone blue notebook might cost in the range of $1,900 (approx. Rs. 76,000) and $2,200 (approx. Rs. 88,000). Expected to ship in Spring, as of now there is no confirmation on the price.
