T-Mobile Concord smartphone priced under $100, no annual contract required

T-Mobile Concord ZTE

The T-Mobile Concord will be available this Sunday for those wanting an Android-based handset at a budget-minded price without any annual subscriptions. This device is said to be an ideal pick for those new to the smartphone world or first time Android users.

The ZTE-made handset is cast in sleek form factor sprayed with a blue color finish and it runs on the Gingerbread platform. Multimedia capabilities can be attributed to the 2MP camera that’s fixed to the rear. The overall hoarding capacity of this device is further stretchable up to 32GB by slipping a microSD card into the embedded memory expansion slot.

Apart from 3G support, the phone offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It wears a 3.5-inch capacitive touch panel which features a virtual keyboard for quick input. Audiophiles can take advantage of the built-in media player and the 3.5mm audio jack to plug in external sound systems. This handset is capable of delivering up to 8.5 hours of talktime and 300 hours of standby on a single charge.

Talking about the available plans, on subscribing to the T-Mobile Monthly 4G no annual contract option, users will receive unlimited talk, messages and data access. There is also the contract-less Family Mobile monthly service from Walmart amongst the choices. According to the carrier, the device is 3G enabled and capable of operating on T-Mobile’s 4G network. We aren’t quite sure how this is going to work out.

As stated earlier, the T-Mobile Concord price via Target and Walmart amounts to just about $99.99 (approx. Rs. 5,546). Its release date through the former is slated for August 26, while potential users can now purchase the handset from the latter.
