Sony NEX-6 camera price and release date disclosed

Sony NEX-6

The Sony NEX-6 price and release date details are out and the camera brings along a similar electronic viewfinder as well as form factor seen on the flagship NEX-7. Additionally, the device is even equipped with a built-in flash and a new Multi Interface Shoe.

The camera packs in a 16.1MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and renders support for lenses including ones from the E-Mount lineup. Also, the company has incorporated the Bionz image processor that aims at providing low-noise images even in low-light conditions at an extended ISO range of 25600.

Like the NEX-5R snapper, this one comes with a Fast Hybrid AF system that clubs phase-detection and contrast-detection AF techniques to enable image capture with fine focus in almost any shooting condition. The device relies on a 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD with the Quick Navi UI for displaying content and it tags along an OLED Tru-Finder highlight for enhanced framing and focusing.

Connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, USB and DLNA are included as well, in addition to a pre-loaded PlayMemories Camera app. The device is capable of delivering approximately 270 shots via the Viewfinder and roughly 360 stills through the LCD screen when fully juiced up.

The Sony NEX-6 price and release date details are marked at $849.99 (approx. Rs. 47,000) and November 16, respectively. Currently, the camera is up for pre-order on the company’s online store.
