Along with the ability to capture high-quality images and videos, a personalized color combination on the camera can match the style or personality of users. With coloring options available in solid, metallic and pearly types and a gloss or soft touch finish, a desired blend can be made and applied to the front, back, lens body, lens face, lens cap, hot shoe insert and the port door on the company’s website. And if by any chance users cannot make up their mind on the appearance, pre-customized options are also available in a huge variety to choose from by clicking the not sure button.
Users can be assured no changes will be made to the hardware. The device comes equipped with a 1 – 19.2mm f/2 – 3.3 ASPH zoom lens and can deliver images in 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 formats. With the 10MP camera and O.I.S. Image Stabilization, high resolution photos can be viewed on the 3-inch LCD monitor that supports a wide viewing angle and a resolution of 460,000 pixels. ColorWare is currently offering a new custom Leica D-Lux 5 for $1200 (approx. Rs. 52,854) whereas, if users send in their own device, the price for a custom paintjob is at $400 (approx. Rs. 17,618).
