Casio introduces Exilim EX-Z450 and EX-Z90 with intelligent AutoFocus

Casio Exilim Cameras

Building on the success of the Casio Exilim EX-H10, Casio has made two new additions to the Exilim family. Dubbed as the Exilim EX-Z450 and EX-Z90, the main highlight of these cameras is the new intelligent AutoFocus feature that also detects non-human photo subjects along with human subjects, reports Cnet.

Along with the intelligent AF technology, these 12 megapixel cameras also include Casio’s Dynamic Photo feature. This feature allows users to cut out a moving or still subject from one image and drop it into another one. Along with being interesting, this feature is also extremely simple to use.

The Exilim EX-Z450 is a high-end camera with a 28mm wide-angle lens and a 4x zoom. It includes a 3-inch LCD screen, sensor-shift image stabilization and an extended battery life. The Handheld Night Scene mode helps in reducing camera shake and motion blur in dimly lit environments.

The Exilim EX-Z90 is available in three colors including black, silver and pink. The camera incorporates a 2.7-inch LCD screen and a 3x zoom. It eliminates both mechanical and optical image stabilization function. The battery life of the Exilim EX-Z90 is shorter as compared to the Exilim EX-Z450.

Both the Casio Exilim EX-Z450 and EX-Z90 will be priced at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,775) and $149.99 (approx. Rs. 7,330) respectively. Although no specific release date has been mentioned by the company, the cameras are expected to be available from early October.
