The latest Lenovo netbooks powered by Dolby Headphone technology aims to provide music enthusiasts with premium high-quality sound. The latest netbooks known as the IdeaPad S12 and S10-2 are lightweight, ultra portable devices that provide a mesmerizing surround sound experience just as desktop or laptop PCs.
With the Dolby Headphone technology, users can enjoy surround sound music through any pair of headphones. It devises around five virtual speakers in a virtual room, thereby providing more natural listening sensation to users.
Mary Anderson, Marketing Director, PC Segment, Dolby Laboratories, stated, “Dolby is synonymous with rich, multichannel audio, and with Dolby Headphone, we’re proving that small portable products like the IdeaPad S12 and S10-2 netbooks need not sacrifice the entertainment experience for size.â€

Further, users can now listen comfortably with their headphones, devoid of any fatigue that is generally observed during headphones’ usage. The Dolby Headphone is compatible with any PC audio source.
Users can incorporate it in any product that features a headphone output and is capable of processing stereo or multichannel audio such as portable DVD players, PCs, digital TVs, and wireless devices. The pricing and the availability details of the netbooks are not yet revealed.
