Casio has unveiled its new digital camera called the Exilim hi-zoom EX-H10. This 0.95” compact camera sports a wide angle of 24mm with a 10x optical zoom lens. The device is capable of capturing 1000 shots with a single charge. Thus, making a great companion for vacations or while users are on the go.

The integrated Exilim Engine 4.0 of this 12.1 megapixel camera works to give high quality output with minimum power consumption. The multi-CPU of this engine enables quick image processing. The reduction in power is achieved by improving the circuitry and operational controls and incorporating high capacity battery design.

“The development of the ultra-wide angle 24mm continues Casio’s dedication to creating digital cameras that are packed with innovative features and new technology,” said Toshiyuki Iguchi, Senior General Manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division at Casio America, Inc. “This new feature gives our camera enthusiasts the opportunity to capture their extraordinary moments in a variety of shooting environments.”

Dynamic Photo function with faster image processing technology enables one to create composite moving images. Moreover, one can cut a subject from several moving images and combine it with a still image that forms the background to create a new Motion JPEG movie file. This function bundles up moving graphics such as bouquets of flowers and hearts to decorate their images. Users can capture and view images and also edit them on the camera itself.

The landscape mode in the camera comprises of Vivid Landscape and Mist Removal options. Vivid landscape identifies and improves vital colors in the landscape while the mist removal option corrects the unclear pictures captured in misty weather.

The make-up mode helps capture beautiful faces. It ensures accurate focus and exposure on the subject in an image and reduces facial shadows caused by sunlight. It also adjusts the skin smoothness.

The camera automatically changes its settings to suit the conditions such as night and backlit scenes. One can also shoot movies at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels using the HD Movie function.

Casio Exilim hi-zoom EX-H10 digital camera will be available in July this year for $299.99 (approx Rs.14,222).
