Panasonic LZ10 and LZ8 Digital Cameras

After FS and FX Series of cameras, Panasonic has introduced the new LZ series compact cameras. The latest LZ10 and LZ8 feature Leica DC VARIO-ELMAR lenses and wide-angle shooting 30mm and 32mm respectively.

The LZ10 is a 10.1 megapixel camera while the LZ8 is equipped with a 8.1 megapixel resolution. Besides, both the new cameras boast manual controls, AA-battery operation, a 5x optical zoom, Intelligent Auto Mode and the Venus Engine IV, a new high-speed and image-processing LSI.

“Not long ago it would have been hard to imagine a user-friendly and affordable digital camera packed with features professional photographers would envy, such as wide-angle Leica lenses, and manual controls,” said Alex Fried, National Marketing Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company.

Some pf the other features of the LZ10 and LZ8 are:

  • Shake Reduction
  • Intelligent Scene Selector
  • Face Detection
  • Quick AF (auto focus)
  • 2.5-inch LCD screens
  • Ability to record WVGA (848 x 480) motion images at 30 frames per second

    • The LZ10 and LZ8 will available in the US market this month at the price of $249.95 and $179.95 respectively. Both the models will come in silver and black colors.
