Dell Refuses Google Mobile Phone Plans

Dell and Google logos Recently, we reported about Google and NTT DoCoMo joining hands to develop Android-based phone. Soon after the news got out of notice, here’s another speculation stating that well-known PC maker Dell and internet giant Google are in talks to develop the Gphone or to be precise Android Mobile phone.

Moreover, rumors also suggested that both the companies would introduce their first device at the Mobile World Congress (formerly known as 3GSM) in Barcelona, which is scheduled to be held 11-14 February this year.

We could see lot of sites covering this story. Marketing Week quoted that the company might enter the industry back after the failure in PDA market. However, PCMagazine cleared this rumor, as one of its members personally spoke to Dell spokesperson Anne Camden. According to the site, neither is Dell going to be present at Mobile World Congress this year, nor are they planning to launch any handset. Of course, the news of the Android-based phone will also get buried with this contradiction.
