Dell XPS 8500 and Vostro 470 Ivy Bridge desktops unveiled in India

The recently introduced Dell XPS 8500 and Vostro 470 desktops have arrived in India to assist professionals with demanding tasks carried out by those associated with the music industry, graphics designing, multimedia editing and more. The Ivy Bridge based PC systems are already available through the company’s official website.

The XPS 8500 integrates the third generation Intel Core i5 or i7 quad core processors along with up to 16GB DDR3 RAM and its decent graphics performance can be attributed to the Nvidia GeForce or AMD Radeon GPUs. It extends support to mSATA SSDs and can be deployed with up to 3TB storage capacity using HDDs. Running the Windows 7 OS, the PC which is available in shades of black and white, embeds input and output options inclusive of Gigabit Ethernet LAN, USB ports, a microphone, headphone jacks as well as HDMI and VGA connectors.

Dell Vostro 470

The Vostro mini-tower system operates with the third generation quad core i5 and i7 processors too. The Intel Smart Response technology is responsible for faster boot ups, while AMD or Nvidia graphics take care of the visual performance. Besides up to 32GB memory, users can customize this desktop with up to 2TB storage capacity with the assistance of HDDs. Featuring 7.1 surround sound, it comes with Bluetooth, the Windows 7 platform and various connectivity options.

The Dell XPS 8500 and Vostro 470 price and availability details for India have been revealed. Interested users will have to shell out Rs. 53,000 for the former, while the latter can be picked up for Rs. 44,900 through Dell.co.in.
