Kingmax ED-01 flash drive to offer 128GB storage capacity

Kingmax ED-01 Flash Drive Kingmax has announced a new range of flash drives dubbed ED-01. The drives in this assortment will be available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and massive 128GB storage capacities. It wasnt too long that we saw Silicon Power offer its storage product in the shade of blue with an attractive design.

With USB 3.0 interface, the drive weighs about 10.5g and measures 74.5mm x 20mm x 9mm. It is incorporated with full-duplex bidirectional synchronization data transfer technology which enables data reading at a speed of 68MB per second and writing at 47MB per second, for the 128GB variant. The device is also backward compatible with USB 2.0. It offers data transfer rates of up to 5GBps, approximately 10 times faster than the almost outmoded USB 2.0 interface.

It comes with a clip cap cover which fits snuggly to the drive, avoiding any cap loss due to accidental drops or loose fits. The black exterior of the device is created with durable plastic finished with special procedures, which gives the device a leather-like texture.

According to the company, the drive is fully compliant with the European Union RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) standards. It is also CE certified in the EU and fits the United States FCC criteria. A Windows 7 certification also assures compatibility with a number of operating systems.

The Kingmax ED-01 flash drive range comes with a warranty of 5 years from the company. The 16GB drive is priced at Rs. 1400, while the 32GB variant for Rs. 2700. The 64GB flash drive can be grabbed for a price of Rs. 7500. The price of the most ambitious of the lot, the ED-01 128GB flash drive has not been revealed yet.
