Vodafone Announce Exclusive Availability of BlackBerry Storm Smartphone

Vodafone BlackBerry Storm Smartphone Vodafone has announced its plan to exclusively sell the BlackBerry Storm smartphone from Research In Motion to a host of countries such as Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand from next month.

Touted to be the first ever ‘clickable’ touch screen smartphone, the BlackBerry Storm will be compatible with Vodafone’s high speed 3G mobile broadband networks.

The main attributes of the sparkling Storm smartphone include 3.25-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels, a full QWERTY keyboard and support for RIM’s SureType or multi-tap keyboard.

Other features of the phone include 3.2 megapixel camera with video capabilities, up to 16GB of expandable memory, desktop-style depiction in either portrait or landscape view and high speed web browsing. It also adds support for multi-touches, taps and slides for easy operations.

Besides, the other highlights of the device are access to Flickr, Facebook, MySpace and YouTube; and to all Vodafone’s entertainment and information services including Vodafone Music, Google Maps and Find&Go navigation, and the Vodafone live! Portal.

Pricing details of the BlackBerry Storm is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The device is also slated to be available for purchase from Verizon Wireless in the US market.
