Razer Blade gaming laptop shipping date postponed due to SSD upgrade

After the delay in the arrival of the Razer Tiamat 7.1 gaming headset, players will be a little more disappointed as the release date of the Razer Blade gaming laptop also has been pushed back. The company’s official Facebook page has announced that this true gaming notebook will only start shipping in mid January next year.

Reportedly, Razer’s first gaming laptop which was previously integrated with a 320GB HDD, will now be bestowed with a 256GB SSD. The Facebook post informs that the company managed to secure the drives at the last minute which has led to the delay in its release. But the gaming giant is also trying to make up for it by offering a gaming mouse engineered especially for the laptop.

Users can sign up for notifications regarding the expected shipping date. And along with notifications, they will receive a coupon code that will allow them to own the Razer Orochi Blade Edition gaming mouse. This rodent with green LED, sports a matt black finish similar to the portable gaming PC.

Announced back in August, this device operates with the Intel Core i7 processor and employs the Intel HM65 Express chipset along with 8GB dual channel 1333MHz DDR3 RAM. The decent graphics performance of the laptop can be attributed to Intel GMA HD and Nvidia GeForce GT 555M that utilizes the Nvidia Optimus technology. It boasts of a 17.3-inch display that renders visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolutions.

The Razer Blade gaming laptop priced at $2,799.99 (approx. Rs. 1,47,660), will start shipping before the end of January next year.
