Power adapters which are meant exclusively for the MacBook can now be converted to an iPhone and iPad charger as well, just by connecting it to the Twelve South PlugBug. Another feature of this device is that it alters any MacBook charger to a U.S. standards compatible one.

The PlugBug is a bright red mini charging device, the design of which easily accommodates the regular power adapter for the MacBook. The Kawasaki red appearance sets it distinctly apart from the adapter, creating a contrasting look for the entire ensemble. The striking hue of this gadget is credited to author and ex Mac Evangelist Guy Kawasaki, who demanded a show-stopping shade for it.

“PlugBug is a dream product for us. It improves on MacBook’s own Power Adapter, adds a completely new idea to iPad/iPhone chargers, and it simplifies the lives of die-hard Apple fans – like me – who carry multiple Apple devices wherever they go,” expressed Andrew Green, Creative Director at Twelve South.

Evidently, the device is crafted to blend two chargers into one which helps when carrying two or more Apple products at a time, especially during travels. But it is not only limited to this. Using the device, Mac wielders outside the U.S. can make their adapters compatible with power sockets in North America, without having to purchase a new adapter or alter the existing one.

The Twelve South PlugBug charger for the iPad and iPhone price is labeled as $34.99 (approx. Rs. 1,720). It can now be purchased from the official Twelve South website.
