The Swipe MTV Slash Fablet, the third edition in this particular range is all set to hit store shelves in India for an affordable price of under Rs 9,500. Apart from the official eStore, the Swipe MTV Fablet is slated to be made available through major retail channels and shopping portals like Snapdeal, Infibeam, Flipkart and more for the budget-friendly price.
Encased in a chassis with dimensions of 188 x 108 x 9.4 millimeters, the Swipe MTV Slash Fablet is said to be apt for one-handed use, unlike a number of its competitors. It tips the scales at 320 grams and easily accommodates a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen on its front surface. Potential buyers will also find a 0.3MP webcam perched on the front, just above the display which can deliver clear pictures in a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
Apart from the snapper for making video calls, the Swipe MTV Slash Fablet is also armed with a primary 5MP camera for capturing decent-quality videos and images. It can be expected to bring an intuitive interface to the table, considering that the gadget operates with the assistance of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS. Also, the responsibility of maintaining smooth internal working has been assigned to a dual core processor running at a speed of 1GHz.
An entire gigabyte of RAM has also been deployed into the Swipe MTV Slash Fablet. And as a 3000mAh battery hides under the hood, it should be capable of providing usage time of at least a day. Furthermore, the slab is pre-loaded with applications such as MTV India, Funny and Hottie to keep users entertained while on the move.
As we already said, the Slash Fablet will soon be up for grabs for a price of Rs 9,490.
